Viaduc de Garabit
The Garabit viaduct straddles the deep Truyère valley for 550 meters, making it the longest in the world. Built by Gustave Eiffel in 1880. Some 125 years later, the work radiates from its red poinsettia over the Truyère and shines brightly at night, like a decoration of the tales of the Arabian Nights.
Initiated by Léon Boyer, the engineer and Gustave Eiffel, the visionary, Garabit is still today one of the most remarkable structures ever built.
